In general, I agree with the idea that Robocop 2 & 3 are full of silly scenes and don't follow the much more serious plan of the first movie. Verhoeven did it better. However, the background story is too good to leave it without sequels, you know, a company owns a robot-policeman which has a directive not to oppose members of the company; or the company which pays the city's debt and then owns it as well as its police. As a consequence there will be no elections. Those are several topics I like in the series.
