Play That Rock'n'Roll: "Christmas Island" (1996) by Jimmy Buffett [Album Review]

Since Play That Rock'n'Roll is exploring some failed classic rock albums, we felt it only appropriate to discuss Jimmy Buffett's mid-90's Christmas album, Christmas Island, which was mentioned in our Top Ten Christmas Songs by Classic Rock Artists two years ago.

This is the eighth episode of Play That Rock'n'Roll, a show that analyzes the classic rock era. This episode focuses on Jimmy Buffett and his 1996 holiday album, "Christmas Island". In this review, we will explore what, if anything, went wrong.

Happy Holidays!

Play That Rock'n'Roll: "Dirty Work" (1986) by the Rolling Stones [Album Review]

Play That Rock'n'Roll is kicking off a new mini-series about classic rock albums that are generally considered "bad", so we will start it up with a look at a mid-80's release from the Rolling Stones, which came just months before the band split! This is the seventh episode of Play That Rock'n'Roll, a show that analyzes the classic rock era. This episode focuses on The Rolling Stones and their 1986 album, "Dirty Work", which is widely considered to be a flop. In this review, we will explore what, if anything, went wrong.

RE-EDIT: Play That Rock'n'Roll: Joe Walsh

I had never uploaded this episode onto YouTube before, fearing copyright complaints by the heavy-handed Eagles organization, but since Blip deleted my channel, Ifigured I should get this online. I cleared out a number of copyright risks, combined both parts into one video, and cut the runtime down a bit. Hopefully, this version shouldn't be any trouble. This is the second episode of "Play That Rock'n'Roll", and it is a career retrospect on noted guitarist, Joe Walsh - from his James Gang origins, to the Eagles, to his solo successes and failures, to reunions and where he is today. Includes "Joe Walsh Guitar Lessons".

RE-POST: Review of "Robocop VCR Game" (Board Game Review)

When the Robocop remake came out earlier this year, MGM started flagging a bunch of videos on YouTube that related to Robocop. For my own channel's safety, I deleted all of my Robocop videos. Considering that the raw footage for the Robocop VCR Game is up on YouTube, I figure it's safe enough to re-upload this one. I'll get the reviews of Robocop 2 and Robocop 3 up soon enough as well. This was our eighth episode of the board game reviews. "RoboCop VCR Game" was released in 1988, but don't worry about any violence though! It's edited for ages 12 and up! ...Wait, what?

Beat ya to this one, Spoony!
